I have been sewing and designing for most of my life. I started as a young girl in my mother’s bridal shop. She taught me at an early age to “do it right the first time” and to give the customer more than they expected. The idea for “Originals by Ouida” was started in the early 80’s when I grew tired of selling standard garters to our brides. I wanted to offer the bride something better than the typical blue or ivory garter. Then I got the idea to offer fun party garters for our prom customers. This idea took off immediately in our local area and I starting advertising in national magazines. Today the prom garter is a must-have accessory to complete the prom ensemble.
I and my entire staff strive every day to offer the best customer service in the entire industry. We love what we do and want to provide a quality product for each and every customer. We hand-craft each garter when the orders are placed, ensuring our customers a fresh product. Our slogan here at Tiny Treasures is “We bake daily” just like they do in a fine bakery!
